What is product liability?
Product liability is a legal doctrine that places responsibility for a product’s safety on the company that builds and distributes it. A product is considered dangerous if it can cause unexpected injuries to a person who is using it in the recommended manner, or at least in a reasonable manner. When innocent consumers are hurt by dangerous products, they can take legal action against the companies involved.
If you have been hurt by a badly designed or malfunctioning product, you could have grounds for a product liability claim. To learn more, contact the Houston product liability lawyers of Williams Kherkher at 800-696-5341.
