$100,000 donated for three consecutive years to Goodfellows

For three years in a row, Williams Kherkher's managing partner, John Eddie Williams, Jr., and his wife, Sheridan, have made the larest individual gift to this local toy drive.
"The Goodfellows fund is yet another example of why Houston is such a remarkable city," John Eddie said. "Sheridan and I are proud to be involved once again this year."
Goodfellows, a 93-year-old organization, provides toys and other Christmas gifts for needy children ages 2 through 10. It is funded by contributions from the public, and every cent collected is used to buy gifts. The Chronicle assumes all administrative costs. In 2003, toys were distributed to 109,438 children.
"John Eddie and Sheridan Williams continue to step up for our annual Goodfellows program," said Jack Sweeney, president & publisher of the Houston Chronicle. "Their generous gift will provide toys on Christmas morning for thousands of needy kids."
John Eddie and Sheridan made the same gift in 2003 and 2004, bringing their total contributions to the Goodfellows fund to $300,000.
