Four Injured in Power Plant Explosion
An explosion at a Wisconsin power plant injured four people Tuesday morning, sending at least one victim to the hospital in a medical helicopter.
According to authorities, emergency crews were dispatched to the We Energies power plant in Oak Creek at around 11 A.M in response to an explosion in the plant's coal handling facility's dust collector.
The power plant occupies approximately 400 acres of land along Lake Michigan, just south of Milwaukee. We Energies provides electricity and natural gas to over 1 million customers in Wisconsin and Michigan.
The plant's other operations are continuing as normal, said a company spokesman.
